Sick for Attention

Music is very Elissa style, I like that she is singing more powering songs instead of "I love you all the way" only, the way she used to.

The lyric video is nicely made, I would've expected more from Rotana though.

Song name: "Maridhit Ehtimam" (Sick for attention)
Singer: Elissa
Lyrics: Ali AlMawla
Composer: Rami AlShafei
Mix by: Kameel Khouri
Genre: Lebanese Classic

You are not allowed to neglect me...
I should always feel...
That you are loving me!
I can not be satisfied with ordinary love...
I always want to feel so much more...
No matter how much I take I want more...
And you will get tired of me!

I am sick for attention!
I never want to be cured!
My feelings are...
My weakness!
In conclusion...
I am sick for attention!

People get bored...
Believe me that's the reason why...
They all leave!
And if you are used to getting bored...
And you can only love in this capacity...
Then I'd rather live my life alone...
And it would be the least of my worries!

Promise of life

OH MY GOD, Isn't this the most beautiful song I heard since the beginning of the year or what?
It's my current national anthem LOL

Listen to the music arrangement carefully, the music massacre of the violins combined with sax...Just perfect!
The lyrics is beautiful, this is the third song I heard written by Siham She'asha'a (The first one was by Latifa "Ashoofak" and the second one is "Sho Beni" by Ibrahim Al Hakami).

Song name: Maw'ed Omr (promise of life/Date of life)
Album: Hind 2008 هند
Song genre: Slow, fast, Pop
Singer: Hind (Hend) - هند
Lyrics by: Siham She'asha'a - سهام شعشاع
Composed by: Nicolas Sa'adah Nakhlah -
Arranged by: Micheal Fadhel -
Translated by: RADIANT GUY (ME)

Whenever I hear someone's steps I instantly think of you and your promise...
"The universe" (Figure speech for life is moving as the sun rises and set on time everyday) came on time but you never did

That promise which I've been waiting for by the window
People came by while others break a part and never got bored waiting for you
Whenever I hear someone's steps I instantly think of you and your promise...
"The universe" (Figure speech for life is moving as the sun rises and set on time everyday) came on time but you never did
Sign...You never did

When the Sun rises every morning I remember the warmth of your eyes
I've been waiting for you to come by and pity my longing to you
Nobody is waiting for me anymore, nor there is no one to warm my cold hands, nor there is no one to hear me whenever I talk
Whenever I hear someone's steps I instantly think of you and your promise...
"The universe" (Figure speech for life is moving as the sun rises and set on time everyday) came on time but you never did

Try

I've heard that song the other day and I thought it sounds like Marwan Khoury's style...Later I found out it was actually written and composed by him!

Hekmat (Hikmate) is a Moroccan singer, I think she is a new one because I never heard of her until now...The song was amazing, I found her album somewhere online and I listened to it and I was instantly attached to this song...
I wrote this post as a draft on 24th of Nov. 2007 and I didn't complete it until now, I was hearing it all the time back then but I didn't really know that she did shoot a music video of it!

It's not as great as I imagined it to बे।

Song name: Hawil (Try) حاول
Album: Nefsy Akon Horrah
Song genre: Slow Pop Music, Romance, Love,Challenging
Singer: Hikmate (Hekmat) -
Lyrics by: Mawran Khouri -
Composed by: Mawran Khouri -
Arranged by: Claude Shalhoob -
Translated by: RADIANT GUY (ME)

I loved you and I always will...No matter what you say...No matter how long we'll be mad at each others...I'll always love you

I told you and I'll keep telling you...Try to understand me...Don't toughen up on me...You might be able to read in my eyes what I am saying...Sigh

I told you, you can't own my heart whenever you want...
If you desire me and want us to reach the end of the road together...
Try to understand me once in your life...I don't want you to imagine me in your mind then ask me to be the way you imagined me...
Try to accept me the way I am, you might find out my real beauty, what is in my heart and my mind, it's not enough for me to know that you like me because of my pretty eyes

How many times I confessed my self that you will change soon, but when you look to me tenderly I forgot about it..
You told me and sweared to me ; and I didn't believe what I am seeing nor feeling...I tried to hide my tears and then I said this is the last time you act this way...Sigh
I am afraid that you will own my heart unfairly...I surrender my self to you and walk the way my self

Autumn leafs

I know, it's been months since the last time I wrote a thing about my latest favorite songs which I keep listening to them all the time.
Many albums released for well known singers and for some new ones, I loved many of them but I've been really crowded lately working on my personal site but now I am kinda free so I can do it again.

It's hard to talk about this song, I love the lyrics more than the arrangement it self but the over all song is superb, at least for me.
Hasna (the singer) usually perform fast tempo songs with fun lyrics but she kinda changed her style in her last album which was released recently.
Until now I loved 3 songs of 7 and that's a good thing :)
I have no idea what people will think about this song but I love it anyway :Pp~

Song name: Waraq Al Khareef (Autumn leafs)
Album: Qalbi Eb Khatar
Song genre: Lebanese, Oriental, Sharqi, Pop Music
Singer: Hasna -
Lyrics by: N/A
Composed by: N/A
Arranged by: N/A
Translated by: RADIANT GUY (ME)

There is a thing which is decreasing constantly...A thing which never reached perfection...
There is a thing which is going to end...A hopeless case...
The autumn leafs are falling...
Tell me, how come this love was murdered?

You are still remaining silent, you rarely talk...
Where did your longing to me gone?
My dream was burned just like a piece of paper, and the night light was extinguished!

You've stolen the sleepiness of my eyes...Don't you realize it?
Where is the lover I used to know?
Where did all the faithfulness gone?
Where did all the love you used to have for me go?

Why you are back?

Released in Najwa's 2007 album, reminds me of her old songs. The ones which begins with "Mawwal" such as "Sahraani", "Dal'ona"...Etc

Song name: Raje'a Tes'al A Meen? (Why you are back?)
Album: Haida Haki
Song genre: Indian, Oriental, Belly Dance, Dabkah
Singer: Najwa Karam -
Lyrics by: Hassan Al Monjid -
Composed by: Wissam Al Ameer -
Arranged by: Tariq Akif -
Translated by: RADIANT GUY (ME)

If your heart was a stone hard, it could relent...
Because of the emotions, love and tenderness I gave you...
I forgot all about you and toughen up...
Why you are back now?
It's late!

Why are you back?
Why you are saying "I love you" to me?
My love to you is dead!
Look in to my eyes...
I am not the same person you used to know...
I even forgot who are you!

Comeback and remind me of you...
Try to wake me up, I might recall who are you...
Return to the way you used to be when we first met...
Return and tolerate me when I start blaming you about it...
Why are you back?

You've lose many years away of me and now you are asking me why?
How could you forgot about me and now you are back?
I am afraid that you will break my heart again...
Why are you back?

A crying door!

Music video of the song is very sad, about when someone lose his mother.
It begins with a different song, going out with his wife...But later it becomes dramatic and melancholic :(

Note. I wanted to add the full translation of this song but I don't really get every single Lebanese word :+

Singer: "Assi Al Hellani"
Song: "Bab Am Yibki"

She left and took my happiness with her...
Even didn't leave me one smile...
The stairs were chocked and the door was crying!
Have you ever seen a crying door?

YAHOOoOoOoOOoooOoOooOoo! LATIFA'S 2007 CD RELEASED

The first time I heard Latifa's new album was on 28th of December 2006, the exact day it was released. I hated it instantly, I always hate every album I listen to for the first time no matter who was the singer LOL
I thought the song's arrangement was the same, nothing new just like all of Fairouz's (If you never heard of Fairouz, she is one of the Arab world legends of all time) songs...When I kept listening to it the next few days I TOTALLY LOVED IT!
However I loved some songs the first time I heard them such as the very romantic song "Hayati" (translation: My life) CLICK HERE to DOWNLOAD the MP3, and the Arab pop song "Shofto Be Aini" (translation: I saw him with my own eyes) CLICK HERE to DOWNLOAD the MP3.

The album contained two twin songs Track# 1 which is "Ma'lomat Mish Akeeda" (translation: Indefinite information) and the last track in the album Track# 11 "Ma'lomat Akeeda" (translation: Definite information), in the first song she was talking about the way when a couple break up but she is not sure if that's it, she had a conflict with her self she loves him in parts of the songs and don't want him back in other parts, in track# 11 she is definite that they don't belong to each others anymore. She doesn't want him to be a part of her life and that's clear in the last part of the song when she says (as translated by me):

I resisted everybody to settle down with the one who I love...
You told me that I am not like the other girls; That i am someone different...
You made me feel that I am the only one you've ever loved in the whole world...
Why don't you tell me that anymore?
The greatest words you used to tell me?
I wish I had your real feelings not only your poems...
I can't forget those great days...Although you want me to forget it all!
Dear God help me to walk away of his love...He turned my life into air! (air is a figure speech for something cheap where you can find everywhere, it also means that he spread her love away just like air molecules that's one great advantage of Arab poetry, A word could mean many things)!
Dear God help me, his love doesn't make me happy anymore...Please don't let us return to each others again

I will add full translations in my music blog + some MP3s of the album soon.

Most of the songs in the album depends on Latifa's vocals (Tarab), in the main song of the album "Ma'alomat Akeeda" (Definite information) she almost sings without any music!
Most of the song's album are classics, very different of what's going on these days in the Arab world where most of the singers perform contemporary Arab Pop Music, Latifa didn't perform similar style since 1980s and early 1990s. But Latifa decided to released 2 or 3 contemporary songs, I think "Shofto Be Aini" (translation: I saw him with my own eyes) is the going to be a hit song when the music video released in the coming two weeks.

What makes this album different of all Latifa's albums and most of the albums (by other) these days?
I never thought that I would love that album the way I do, It's true I do love Latifa but I never liked Ziad the writer, composer and arranger of most of the album's songs.
It's kinda funny how some people consider him a great musician, an Arab icon while others hates him.

He has a weird music style, more into Classics/Jazz/Blues and that's the weird thing, he writes poems to be sung but they can't be considered as Arab poems simply because he doesn't follow the Arab poetry rules.

Most of his music work was performed by his mother Fairouz, I don't like her though but I like few of her songs.

Have a great weekend all ;)

Never!

One of my very favorite songs of all times!
I think no matter how much I say that I love it, it's will never be enough to express the way I love it!
It's this kind of songs which you love everything about, Music, Lyrics, Arrangment and the singer performance.

The song released in the year 2002 (Arabic), I just found out that there is a Turkish version of it released in the year 2004...The Turkish song called "Hadi Git" and it was performed by "Seden Gürel".
It's happens a lot over her, sometimes Turkish use Arabic songs and sometimes Arabs takes Turkish music...Sometimes It's legally others not (It's was legal this time).

Song name: Benoub (Never)
Singer: Najwa Karam
Album: Tahamooni (2002)
Writer and composer: Marwan Khoury
Arranged by: Mohammed Mustafa
Translated by: Me

Never ever go away from me...
My eyes don't sleep because my beloved is coming tonight...
I wish we could find a medicine to cure my agony...
Time seems to pass at a slow pace with our date getting closer.

The evening wind as a signal of separation, It was blowing north while I sat by myself, Suddenly a warm breeze blew and reminded me of my beloved's smile!
O you sadness standing ready to stab my heart with your spears!

The night of mourning is over...
My beloved is coming back to live in (fill) my heart...
Life passes in an eye glance...
O darling, where are you? Come back to save my love!

Laily (My Night)

This song originally released in the year 1999 in the album Dania II; The album contained many songs including two versions of this particular song, Oriental version and Trans-global underground mix…few years later 2 remixes of the song were released.
I truly love this song specially the trans-global underground mix and I think many people never listened to this great song.
It's a mix of Arab instruments and western instruments and beats; although the song's video was extremely simple but for sure it's express the song's arrangement with a brake dancer and the lute man.
F.Y.I. Lute is a musical instrument used widely in the Arab world and Turkey, it's kind a look like guitar.
In the year 2006 Best of Dania album released including renewed very old song called "Foq Al Nakhal" (Above the palms) and some remixes of Dania's songs.
The song name is "Laily", "Laili" or "Leily" letterly means (My night) but when someone say it I think it's means different thing, I am not really sure what does it mean exactly but I think it's means the sleepless nights of torment because the one we love is away, that's why I decided to keep the Laily part without translation.

How are you?

Very romantic song by Baha'a (from star academy the first season), I loved the song since the first time I listened to it.
Her album released on January 2006 with a stunning photo on the CD cover.

Song name: Kefak? (How are you?)
Album: Baha'a
Song genre: Slow/Arab pop
Singer: Baha'a

Lyrics by: Moneer Abo Assaf
Translated by: RADIANT GUY (ME)

How you are you my love and where are you?
I am still thinking of you; your phantom still living here with me at home, I've never loved someone else ; you are my precious love.
Tell me how are you?

If it's up to me I'll return you back to me just to see you in front of me even for a second.
Tell me how are you?

I swear… even during your absence my heart belonged to you and I love you even when you torture me, that's the way I like it.
Tell me how are you and where are you?
