In the past few days album

I honestly didn't expect anything about this album, I thought it was going to be a "Ma Etrohsh Ba'ed" album deplicate but it wasn't at all!

I do love "Ma Etrohsh Ba'ed" album don't miss understand me but this album reminds me of the old Latifa, Latifa of the 80s and 90s...

I loved most of the songs in the album if not all of them (13 songs in the CD and 12 in the cassette), it took me awhile to get it, I usually hate every album I listen to for the first time.

I can't pick one song as the best song in the album, each song has it's own beauty...But I am sure that the song "Fil Kam Yom illi Fato" (In the past few days) is going to make a HIT if it didn't already!
The song mixes extreme Westurn music with Extreme Arab music teqniqyes and instruments in a great harmony....That's what I call Music Globalization.

One of my super favorite songs in the album is "Sibny Shuwaya" (Leave me alone for a while), i also loved "Ya Aghla Qalb" (The most precious heart", "Ana Omri Ma Hansak" (I will never forget you), "Low Fakir" (If you remember), "Beyikthib" (He is lieing), "Konna Zaman" (We used to be), "Rohi Betrod Fiya" (My soul returns to me), "Fakir Eh" (Do you think).

I am still listening to the album and finding new songs that I might love, but I think it does worth buying.

I made the video below almost 2 weeks ago, enjoy :)

Rayan 2007 Wain Brouh

My most recent addiction is Rayan's 2oo7 album, until now I loved more than half the album; to me that's a success :)

Rayan (ريان) has a powerful voice, I liked him when I listen to some of his songs last album, he recently released this album so I wanted to share it with all my blog's readers if there is any LOL

It's true that the intro of the title song "Wain Brouh" (Where should I go) sounds like a Turkish song called "Istanbul Istanbul Olali" by "Husnu Senlendirici" but it doesn't matter because both of them sounds amazing!

The album contains 8 songs, most favorite songs will be on the top:

1- "Ma Haram" (Is that fair?) ما حرام
2- "Athabi Merafiqni" (My torture accompanies me) عذابي مرافقني
3- "Wain Brouh" (Where should I go?) وين بروح
4- "Allah Ma'ak" (May God be with you) الله معك
5- "Bism El Hawa" (n the name of love) بإسم الهوى
6- "Ya Habeebi" (My beloved one) يا حبيبي
7- "Ha Allimak" (I will teach you) ح أعلمك
8- "Ghasban Anni" (Against my will) غصباً عني

Somiya 2007

The first time I heard Somiya was through unofficial release of a song called "Qalb O Rah" (A passing heart) قلب و راح, at the time I thought she was Sherine because her voice is very similar to Sherine's.

Later I forgot about it until one day I watched her interview on Rai TV when she was talking about one of her songs recorded twice with two different lyrics written by two different poets with the exact music and arrangment, I was curious about it so I listened to the album and I was amazed.

My top songs lists is:

1- Ghayyarni Jarhi (My wound have changed me) غيرني جرحي
2- El Ayyam (Days or Destiny) الأيام
3- Khalas Ya Demo'ei (My tears stop it) خلاص يا دموعي
4- Ana Aisha (I am living) انا عايشة
5- Qalb Wo Rah (A passing heart) قلب و راح - This song did not release officially
6- Ha A'esh Baqa (I will survive) ح اعيش بقى
7- Ham Yebakki هم يبكي
8- Laf Wo Dawaran لف و دوران
9- Baqeet Betohashni بقيت بتوحشني

Yasmin 2007 Shaklak Ha Tohshni

Many albums released recently but I didn't had a chance to review all of them, one of the albums is Yasmin's.

My favorite song of the album is "Bi Amanah" (To be honest) بأمانة NO wonder it's written by Hani Abdulkareem and composed by Walid Sa'ad :)

Songs I like of the album:

1- Bi Amanah (To be honest) بأمانة
2- Hott Nafsak Fi Makani (Be in my shoe) حط نفسك في مكاني
3- Hashofak Etha (I will see you if) ح اشوفك إذا
4- Ma De'eftish Osado (I didn't reveal my weakness to him) ما ضعفتش قصاده
5- Mish Momkin Tekon Insan (You are not human) مش ممكن تكون إنسان

Summer of 2007 albums

CD covers (from left to right/ top to bottom) Asalah, Saber Rebai, Angham, Najwa Karam

Najwa'a
2007 album released recently, I loved two songs of it only and they are "Ana Rooh" (I am a soul) and "Raji'e Tes'al A Meen" (Why you are back?).

One week later Angham's 2007 was released and I loved most of it but there is one song that I loved the most and it is "Ghayyartini" (You've changed me).

Then Asalah's 2007 album released and I think the title song "Sawwaha Qalbi" (My heart betrayed me!) is going to be a smash hit :D
I loved almost every single song in the album.

And now Saber Rebai released his 2007 album and I didn't have the chance to listen to it more often but I still can tell that it is great. Currently my favorite song of it called "Dhaqat Beek".

YAHOOoOoOoOOoooOoOooOoo! LATIFA'S 2007 CD RELEASED

The first time I heard Latifa's new album was on 28th of December 2006, the exact day it was released. I hated it instantly, I always hate every album I listen to for the first time no matter who was the singer LOL
I thought the song's arrangement was the same, nothing new just like all of Fairouz's (If you never heard of Fairouz, she is one of the Arab world legends of all time) songs...When I kept listening to it the next few days I TOTALLY LOVED IT!
However I loved some songs the first time I heard them such as the very romantic song "Hayati" (translation: My life) CLICK HERE to DOWNLOAD the MP3, and the Arab pop song "Shofto Be Aini" (translation: I saw him with my own eyes) CLICK HERE to DOWNLOAD the MP3.

The album contained two twin songs Track# 1 which is "Ma'lomat Mish Akeeda" (translation: Indefinite information) and the last track in the album Track# 11 "Ma'lomat Akeeda" (translation: Definite information), in the first song she was talking about the way when a couple break up but she is not sure if that's it, she had a conflict with her self she loves him in parts of the songs and don't want him back in other parts, in track# 11 she is definite that they don't belong to each others anymore. She doesn't want him to be a part of her life and that's clear in the last part of the song when she says (as translated by me):

I resisted everybody to settle down with the one who I love...
You told me that I am not like the other girls; That i am someone different...
You made me feel that I am the only one you've ever loved in the whole world...
Why don't you tell me that anymore?
The greatest words you used to tell me?
I wish I had your real feelings not only your poems...
I can't forget those great days...Although you want me to forget it all!
Dear God help me to walk away of his love...He turned my life into air! (air is a figure speech for something cheap where you can find everywhere, it also means that he spread her love away just like air molecules that's one great advantage of Arab poetry, A word could mean many things)!
Dear God help me, his love doesn't make me happy anymore...Please don't let us return to each others again

I will add full translations in my music blog + some MP3s of the album soon.

Most of the songs in the album depends on Latifa's vocals (Tarab), in the main song of the album "Ma'alomat Akeeda" (Definite information) she almost sings without any music!
Most of the song's album are classics, very different of what's going on these days in the Arab world where most of the singers perform contemporary Arab Pop Music, Latifa didn't perform similar style since 1980s and early 1990s. But Latifa decided to released 2 or 3 contemporary songs, I think "Shofto Be Aini" (translation: I saw him with my own eyes) is the going to be a hit song when the music video released in the coming two weeks.

What makes this album different of all Latifa's albums and most of the albums (by other) these days?
I never thought that I would love that album the way I do, It's true I do love Latifa but I never liked Ziad the writer, composer and arranger of most of the album's songs.
It's kinda funny how some people consider him a great musician, an Arab icon while others hates him.

He has a weird music style, more into Classics/Jazz/Blues and that's the weird thing, he writes poems to be sung but they can't be considered as Arab poems simply because he doesn't follow the Arab poetry rules.

Most of his music work was performed by his mother Fairouz, I don't like her though but I like few of her songs.

Have a great weekend all ;)

My lost soul [Tribute to Thekra]

Exactly three years ago (on 28th of November 2003), she was murdered by her
husband MAY HE BURN IN HELL, NO MATTER HOW MUCH I HATE I CAN NOT HATE HIM ENOUGH.
I am still denying the fact that her little heart is not pulsing anymore.

I know you might think "What a shallow guy?!" he feel sorry for a singer, despite the fact that she is one of my favorite ones all time but she left this world in a drastic way murdered with 16 bullets using a machine gun :(
I really wish I could do anything to get her back, but that's her destiny...
And it's my destiny to feel bad for her lost...

People always said "Life goes on" but that doesn't work with me specially with the cruel way she left, I might need more time If not forever to get over it :(

I loved her since the first time I heard her in the early 1990s.
People didn't know her value and what a great voice she had until she passed away.
May her soul rest in heaven.

Her last album released only 3 days before her death, in her last music video of the song "Youm Alaik" (Translation: "A Day against you" or "A rainy day") she seemed like she knew her future and what's her destiny; she almost sound like she was singing the very last days of her life!

You can find some of her songs translated by me in my MUSIC BLOG:
radiantguysongs.blogspot.com/search/label/Thekra

I just wrote a small biography of her in both English and Arabic as a tribute to her, you can read it following this link:

Tarkan's first English album!

Tarkan is a Turkish singer, he is known in the Arab world since 1999 or maybe earlier with his smash hit song "Simarik".
"Kiss Kiss" is the English version of the song released in the year 2002 and performed by Holly Valance.

I rarely listen to non Arab music...But I had to listen to Tarkan's since it's his first English album, I was curios!
Until now I listen to the full album two or three times, my first impression about it is GREAT!
The more I listen to it, the more I love it!

The song "Over" is the first song which attracted me, currently I am using it as my cellphone ringtone.
I will not write more stuff about this album now because I don't want to affect you with my choices, you have to listen to it your self and make up your mind...I AM SURE YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Make sure to check his official site http://www.tarkan-music.de/
