Promise of life

OH MY GOD, Isn't this the most beautiful song I heard since the beginning of the year or what?
It's my current national anthem LOL

Listen to the music arrangement carefully, the music massacre of the violins combined with sax...Just perfect!
The lyrics is beautiful, this is the third song I heard written by Siham She'asha'a (The first one was by Latifa "Ashoofak" and the second one is "Sho Beni" by Ibrahim Al Hakami).

Song name: Maw'ed Omr (promise of life/Date of life)
Album: Hind 2008 هند
Song genre: Slow, fast, Pop
Singer: Hind (Hend) - هند
Lyrics by: Siham She'asha'a - سهام شعشاع
Composed by: Nicolas Sa'adah Nakhlah - نيقولا سعاده نخله
Arranged by: Micheal Fadhel - ميشيل فاضل
Translated by: RADIANT GUY (ME)

Whenever I hear someone's steps I instantly think of you and your promise...
"The universe" (Figure speech for life is moving as the sun rises and set on time everyday) came on time but you never did

That promise which I've been waiting for by the window
People came by while others break a part and never got bored waiting for you
Whenever I hear someone's steps I instantly think of you and your promise...
"The universe" (Figure speech for life is moving as the sun rises and set on time everyday) came on time but you never did
Sign...You never did

When the Sun rises every morning I remember the warmth of your eyes
I've been waiting for you to come by and pity my longing to you
Nobody is waiting for me anymore, nor there is no one to warm my cold hands, nor there is no one to hear me whenever I talk
Whenever I hear someone's steps I instantly think of you and your promise...
"The universe" (Figure speech for life is moving as the sun rises and set on time everyday) came on time but you never did

Where are you?

This song was performed by the late singer Thekra (Arabic script: ذكرى) may her soul rest in peace :( 3 years ago on 28th of November 2003) she was murdered by her husband, this is a tribute from me to her soul.
I can never ever forget her, I am still
denying the fact that she is not living with us anymore.

I just added a biography of her in wikipedia.org Here is a direct link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thekra

The first three minutes of the song you'll hear a violene playing solo with Thekra showing off her voice by repeating the word "Ya Habeebi" (Arabic for "my love" or "my beloved one").

Music in the gulf region (locally referred to as "Khaleeji" Music) have many genres and rhythms this song is a great example of Khaleeji folklore genre called "Samri", it's usually used with melancholic poetry/lyrics.

Album: Thekra 2 (Arabic script: ذكرى 2)
Singer: Thekra (Arabic script: ذكرى)
Lyrics by: Turki Composed by: Tariq Mohammed (Rumors says that the composer and the poet are the exact person but he is using a nick name since he is a prince).

My beloved, can you see where did you end up and where did I?
My beloved one; you've left me alone and I am lost since then!

My beloved one, everything about me was changed..
Everybody knew about it; I used to say love does not exist but now I admit it...LOVE DO EXIST!

My wishes and youth were extinguished...
I am weak as a skinny tree standing against a great storm...
Sigh...If a kid listen to my depressing story he will have a grey hair instantly!

My beloved one, I wish when you left; you took "my longing" with you to comfort both of us!
But instead you left me with depression and wounds.

Good morning...

It's not the exact songs translation, It's very hard to translate Arab poetry so I had to modify it and change few things :Pp~

The song is made of three parts, in the first one she start complaining about things in indirect way, the second part she start blaming him gently and in the third part she welcome him back.

It's a great example of Khaleeji Tarab songs.

Song name: Yes'ed Sabahak (Good morning)
Album: Awqat (Released in the CD only) 2004
Singer: Asalah (Arabic script: اصالة)
Lyrics by: Prince Abdul-Rahman Bin Mosa'ad
Composed by: Sadiq Al Sha'er (Rumours says that the writer and the composer are the exact person, but he is using a nick name when he compose; since he is a prince)
Arranged by: Ameer Abdulmajeed

Good morning my love, I'm doing just OK...
Everything the way it's always been...
My tears still on my cheeks...
The pain still living in my chest...
The safeness still gone since the day you left...
The sleepless nights are being repeated over and over...
Despair refusing to leave me alone...
My eyes are bleeding with tears...
Even the wounds which you caused still staying in my heart...
And my lips still repeating the words which we said the last time we met...
I am doing just OK...
Good morning my love...

It's typical of you, whenever I felt that the whole world is collapsing around me you just disappear and whenever you felt that the world is collapsing around you; you'll return to me!
It's typical of you...You always return in the right time; when I don't need you anymore!
Can you see now?
Everything the way it's always been...
Good morning my love...

Is that the light of the morning or it's yours?
Is that the warmth of the roses or it's yours?
I don't know whether I should spread my precious tears on your shoulder or just walk away?
Can you see it now my soul's love?
Everything the way it's always been...
Good morning my love..

I miss you

One of my very favorite songs released in 2003, It's a sad song with great lyrics. It was really hard to translate it, I guess the first paragraph was translated well but the 2nd and 3rd are meaningless in English!
The song reminds me of the beginning of the American invasion of Iraq in 2003, the whole album reminds me of that year.
The album was one of my favorite albums of the year 2003.

Song name: Betoohashni (I miss you)
Singer: Sherine (Shereen | Arabic script: شرين)
Lyrics by: Nasr Mahroosnt>
Composed by: Riyadh Al Hamsharint>
Album: Jarh Thani (Second wound) 2003
Translated by: Bashar (Me)

I miss you even while I am sitting beside you!
I miss you; I even miss every single day I am spending with you!
And every second with out being with you is killing me!
And every single night I am living with out being with you makes my happy, scared and wounded.
I am afraid that even when I die I will still be missing you!

You are promising that there is no tomorrow, no day after tomorrow and I will not spend a single moment with out being with you; then you became late and I miss you more and I can do nothing about it because I don't have anybody to miss except you.

You are plaining many things and telling me many more promises but eventually I find my self with out you; then you give my some more hope but I always end up living the torture of your absence!

It's the first time I felt that I am a live and in love
When I noticed you
I saw you far away and the strangest thing happened...My own soul flew all the way to you!
My beloved, I wish my you can hear my voice; when will we meet?
Come to me
All my life and dreams belongs to you...
Come to me

It's the first time I felt lost, I even don't know whether I am still standing here or over there!
I am dieing to hear a voice telling me that I belong to you..

My feelings are above my capability and beyond my fantasy
If your heart was in the end of the longest road ever; I will walk the road until I reach the end!
My beloved, I wish you can hear my voice; when will we meet?
Come to me
All my life and dreams belongs to you...
Come to me

Don't go away..

Latifa won the best middle eastern singer in the World Music Awards 2004 for that album. It's was a smash hit in the Arab world.
This song is a great example of Arab Pop Music, you can listen to Arab instruments such as Tabla along with Techno beats, she perform a short part with Arab rhythms in the song.

The song was performed in three different languages!

The first time in the year 2001 by the Greek singer "Despina Vandi", the song's name is "Ah Kardoula Mou".
In the year 2003 the song's music was recomposed and rearranged (legally) and released in Arabic language by "Latifa", the song's name is "Ma Etrohsh Ba'ed" (Don't go away).
"Havas" is the name of the Persian version, released in 2005...It's a remix of the Arabic version performed by the Persian singer "Shohreh Solati"; that one wasn't legal.

Despite it's legal or not, I think it's a great way that people around the world can share the exact passion of Music, I know it's took two years for each version to reach others and I really wish if there is a faster way so everybody can listen to the latest songs in all over the world in the exact released date.

Don't go away..

The photo above is my graphics work of Latifa performing the song in the World Music Awards 2004 also you might notice her photo with Celine Dion.
Latifa's speech was censored by the USA media when she said "My happiness remains incomplete until Iraq & Palestine are freed"!

Here is the song's video clip...VIVA YOUTUBE LOL

My Love, Don't go away

My love, I need you beside me
My love, come closer to me...Come closer

For many starry nights I’ve been living imagining you in my fantasies...
Before seeing you my precious I kept thinking of you every awaking moment

My love, while you are beside me all my life is full of love; your love is the most valuable to me.
With every night your words were on my mind, you are the life in my eyes and the world to my heart.

Dear starry nights he finally told me that I am the love of his life
SIGH

The years of my life passed before knowing you and no one has replaced you ever
All I need is your heart to be with me even for one second
It's enough for me to have you as my forever love in my heart
Love… Always stay with me and don’t go away

The song

"AL GHENYWA" is a great song by Latifa, released in the year 1997 as a part two of her 1986 hit song "Akthar Min Roohi" (More than my soul).
Both songs are a mix of Arab instruments and Spanish Tango.

The song that we use to hear when we’re together is still on my mind constantly.
It's always moves and touches me every time I hear it.
I wonder if it’s the same for you when you hear it, does it still effect u the same way?
Does it make u cry about the way we ended up? Or you will not even care?
Did you forgot all about it; did you forget all about me too?
Did you completely forget me and our song?
The song that said “ I love you more than myself, honestly I love you even more”.

Years past and life drifted us apart; look who you’re with now, and who I’m with.
But I’m still thinking of our days together, and the same song still comes on my mind constantly.
I wonder if it’s the same for you when you hear it, does it still effect u the same way?
Does it make u cry about the way we ended up? Or you will not even care?
Did you forgot all about it; did you forget all about me too?
Did you completely forget me and our song?
The song that said “ I love you more than myself, honestly I love you even more”

Are you crying about the way we ended up?
“ I love you more than myself, honestly I love you even more”

Are you crying about the way we ended up?
“ I love you more than myself, honestly I love you even more”

Are you crying about the way we ended up?
“ I love you more than myself, honestly I love you even more”

Are you crying about the way we ended up?

Happy anniversary

Amazing song by Angham...It's kinda old/classic Khaleeji song yet it's still great, I had a hard time to translate it; I said it million times and i will say it one more time, the Arab poetry loses the power during translation. It's always better to read the original one.
This song is a great example of Khaleeji Classic Songs (Khaleeji refers to the Music in Khaleeji Arab Dialect which it's spoken in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Arab Emirates and Oman).
F.Y.I. Angham is Egyptian singer.

Song name: Eidina Mobarak - عيدنا مبارك (Happy anniversary)
Album: Khalli Bokra Li Bokra (1998)
Singer: Angham - انغام (Arabic for melodies)
Written by: Turki Bin Abdulrahman
Composed by: Tariq Mohammed (Rumors says that he is the writer using a nick name since he is a prince)

The exact spot; where we always met; every year during a starry night such as this one...
To celebrate the "first day we met" anniversary...Our love anniversary...

The exact stars...
The exact moon...
Even it's the exact air breeze which it's used to dally the trees leafs...
Everything like the way it's always been...
But we are not anymore...
Destiny brake us a part...
Everything is gone between us exept the echo of our song...

Happy anniversary my love...
Happy anniversary my love.. .
Happy anniversary my love....

Laily (My Night)

This song originally released in the year 1999 in the album Dania II; The album contained many songs including two versions of this particular song, Oriental version and Trans-global underground mix…few years later 2 remixes of the song were released.
I truly love this song specially the trans-global underground mix and I think many people never listened to this great song.
It's a mix of Arab instruments and western instruments and beats; although the song's video was extremely simple but for sure it's express the song's arrangement with a brake dancer and the lute man.
F.Y.I. Lute is a musical instrument used widely in the Arab world and Turkey, it's kind a look like guitar.
In the year 2006 Best of Dania album released including renewed very old song called "Foq Al Nakhal" (Above the palms) and some remixes of Dania's songs.
The song name is "Laily", "Laili" or "Leily" letterly means (My night) but when someone say it I think it's means different thing, I am not really sure what does it mean exactly but I think it's means the sleepless nights of torment because the one we love is away, that's why I decided to keep the Laily part without translation.

Song name: Kefak? (How are you?)
Album: Baha'a
Song genre: Slow/Arab pop

Lyrics by: Moneer Abo Assaf
Translated by: RADIANT GUY (ME)

How you are you my love and where are you?
I am still thinking of you; your phantom still living here with me at home, I've never loved someone else ; you are my precious love.
Tell me how are you?

If it's up to me I'll return you back to me just to see you in front of me even for a second.
Tell me how are you?

I swear… even during your absence my heart belonged to you and I love you even when you torture me, that's the way I like it.
Tell me how are you and where are you?
