Leave me alone for a while...

I was post processing the photo above while I was thinking of that song...
The song is very melancholic...Lyrics, music, arrangement and performance can be explained in one word which is "sad".

Released in Latifa 2008 album "Fil Kam Yom Illi Fato" (In the Past Few Days), this is the 4th track in the album "Sebni Showayah" (Leave me for a while).

It begins with a slow "Tabla" (Arab Drums), then amazing violins and Latifa begin to sing.
I love the part when she say "Laih" (Why?), the way she say it :D

When she asked me what do you think my next music video should after the first music video from that album...I instatnly said "Sebni Showaya".

If you were a belly dancer, this is the perfect song :Pp~

Latifa |

Song name: Sebni Showayah (سبني شوية) Leave me alone for awhile
Album: Fil Kam Yom Illi Fato (في الكام يوم اللي فاتوا) In The Past Few Days
Year of production: 2008
Song genre: Oriental
Tempo: Slow
Singer: Latifa -
Lyrics by: Nader Abdullah -
Composed by: Waleed Sa'ad -
Arranged by: Tameem - تميم
Translated by: RADIANT GUY (ME)

Leave me alone for awhile because I am upset...
Don't remind me of my agony and upset me more...
As much as I would like to speak up and complain about you...
I am afraid that you will oppress me and make my "wound" (pain) worst!

Why?
You don't have a free time for me so I can come and talk to you...
Even while you are staying by me, it seems that I can't find you...
What makes me even worst is seeing you...
The farthest person yet the closest one!

I am holding a grudge but I am hiding it...
I am accepting the little attention you are giving me and your recklessness...
Why and how come you are the most important person in my life...
Yet you make me feel unimportant!

Why?
You don't have a free time for me so I can come and talk to you...
Even while you are staying by me, it seems that I can't find you...
What makes me even worst is seeing you...
The farthest person yet the closest one!

In The Past Few Days

Have you ever heard of the phrase "Music Globalization"?
If not...Then this is the best way to know my definition of that phrase!

The song released in Latifa's official website a week or so before the official release of the album on 12th of July 2008.

The first time I heard it It shocked me, I didn't expect to listen to anything like that ever...The song mixes genuine Arab singning teqniqe which is "Arab Tarab" (طرب عربي) - you can hear it when Latifa start singing in the beggining - with an Arab sad melody played with violin, in some parts it feels like the violin is dancing with the westurn disco beat and the electro guitar in the song, I can rephrase that to mixing two extreme unrelated music from two different worlds in a great harmony.

I can't explain that anymore, but you have to listen to it and you'll figure it out (and I would love to know what do you think).

As far as I know, the music video is going to release soon...I will add it here when it's out, maybe with English subtitles since many anonymous people requested the translations of the song (I didn't relize that people actually read my blogs!)

UPDATE: They refer to this music genre as "TekTonik" or "Tectonic", it even has it's own dance!
This is the first Arab Tektonik song, Latifa mixed it with Arab instruments.

In the last few days...
He had enough strength to live his life without me...Why?
I can't believe that he accepted to allow the night to fall while he is not beside me!

If he was planning for something...
Why didn't he tell me about it?!
People, When he forget all about me...My life will end instantly!

I've never thought he would push me away and live with other people...
My dear heart, with whom shall I forget my agony if he walked away; and I will always wonder my beloved one now belongs to who?

What is he doing now and where is he?
If one day he saw me with his own eyes...
That day he will feel sorry about me...
Without him, my heart is scared because it already knows the subsequence of being apart

I've never thought he would push me away and live with other people...
My dear heart, with whom shall I forget my agony if he walked away; and I will always wonder my beloved one now belongs to who?

In the past few days album

I honestly didn't expect anything about this album, I thought it was going to be a "Ma Etrohsh Ba'ed" album deplicate but it wasn't at all!

I do love "Ma Etrohsh Ba'ed" album don't miss understand me but this album reminds me of the old Latifa, Latifa of the 80s and 90s...

I loved most of the songs in the album if not all of them (13 songs in the CD and 12 in the cassette), it took me awhile to get it, I usually hate every album I listen to for the first time.

I can't pick one song as the best song in the album, each song has it's own beauty...But I am sure that the song "Fil Kam Yom illi Fato" (In the past few days) is going to make a HIT if it didn't already!
The song mixes extreme Westurn music with Extreme Arab music teqniqyes and instruments in a great harmony....That's what I call Music Globalization.

One of my super favorite songs in the album is "Sibny Shuwaya" (Leave me alone for a while), i also loved "Ya Aghla Qalb" (The most precious heart", "Ana Omri Ma Hansak" (I will never forget you), "Low Fakir" (If you remember), "Beyikthib" (He is lieing), "Konna Zaman" (We used to be), "Rohi Betrod Fiya" (My soul returns to me), "Fakir Eh" (Do you think).

I am still listening to the album and finding new songs that I might love, but I think it does worth buying.

I made the video below almost 2 weeks ago, enjoy :)

I hated you!

OK, that's one of the hardest songs I ever translated, it's might sound stupid or meaningless because it's was translated, and I believe that poetry loses it's power when it's translated.

Anyway this song was a massive hit in the year 1999 and Latifa (the performer) won many awards because of it, prince of Dubai Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoom wrote a reply to the lyrics and dedicated it to Latifa!
The song about when you love someone and later you find out that he was acting that he or she loves you.
A mix of Rock guitar with Arab instrument "Mizwid", just amazing.
There was a rumor that this song based on a true story (Obviously a very bad love story) Latifa been through.
Song name: Kerihtak (I hated you) - كرهتك
Album: Wadeh (In the Arab world) aka Inchallah (Internationally) 1999 -
Song genre: Rock/Arab pop/FolkloreSinger: Latifa -

Composed by: Salah Al Sharnoobi -
Arranged by: Raymond GimenesTranslated by: RADIANT GUY (ME)

Your love is false, you have no conscience...
Yes I loved you, I adored you and now I hated you!
I hated you because you are just a mask and a play starring with agony!

You are a lie in the shape of an angel...
For many years and nights my life was devoted to you...
I am writing the story of your love with my tears while you are wiping it off with a pen's stroke!

You successfully won the bet of your friends...
And my love story became a joke which you shared with them...
Go and laugh with them until the morning and may God help me!

You've entered my life by a mistake...
You are just a selfish person and that's why I hated you without compromise...
Oh God, you are the compensation and the judge!
Your love is false, you have no conscience...
Yes I loved you, I adored you and now I hated you!
I hated you because you are just a mask and a play starring with agony!

Latifa perorming "Mawwal"

My lifetime

Usually when I listen to any album for the first time, I always get stick with a specific song in the album. "Hayati" (My lifetime) was that song in Latifa's 2007 album (Ma'alomat Akeeda), it doesn't mean that it's the best song in the album but for some reason slow songs atracts me. It kinda remind me of her 1993 song Beyihsibooni (بيحسبوني) they thought; which I totally loved at the time and still loving it.
Recently I used that song as a background song for my first video clip uploaded on google video, It's embed below :)

My lifetime just begun...
Before knowing you it was ordinary...
I never noticed what's going on nor felt anything around me....
Now I found someone who really care about me
My life was changed when I met you...
Come closer to my heart and always keep it that way...
Let me see the world through your eyes and live my dreams
Promise me when I need you; I'll always find you with me...
and I swear that I will belong only to you..
I've been through a lot before knowing you...
I don't want to live in grief anymore

Your love is everything to me...
I used to be afraid but not anymore...
You're love made me feel something I never felt before
My darling I feel my heart is safe with you...
My heart is happy and I feel you... It can't hide my feelings anymore
and tells me that I love you
My life was changed when I met you...
Come closer to my heart...
Let me see the world through your eyes and live my dreams

I saw him with my own eyes

The music video of the song was released on 30th of January 2007, I loved the stage it looks gigantic :D
The song "Shofto Be Aini" (Translation: I saw him with my own eyes) released in Latifa's latest album and this is my first review of the album's songs.
If you like Latifa's hit "Ma Etrohsh Ba'ed" (Translation: Don't go away) then definitely you will love this song!
I just uploaded the music video on Google video and added English subtitles on it (VIVA GOOGLE!).I never done that before and I am excited about it ;)
The music video was directed by Said Al Marouq, it looks futuristic; you can notice it from Latifa's hair, her dress and the people around her who were acting as robots.

I will write the lyrics in both Arabic script with English translation, some people requested it.
Note. you can use the photo above as a 1280*768 wallpaper, if you need it in 1024*768 & 800*600 check the wallpapers section in Latifa's official site (Latifaonline.net)

I saw him with my eyes...

He feels the way I feel...

He is in love and I can see that through his eyes...

My heart told me all about it...

I think I will go to him and reveal my love to him...

He have been counting the days until we meet again

I love him as much as he love me...

I am definite that my love have reached him by now

If he came to me, I will tell him; I will not hide my feelings anymore

Tell me "I love you" and make my life more beautiful...

I love you every second of my life...

I can hear you, tell me I love you one more time

Am I dreaming or is this a reality?

My heart is longing to you find a way to comfort it...

I want to reach you in a minute...

Is there enough room for me in your heart?

YAHOOoOoOoOOoooOoOooOoo! LATIFA'S 2007 CD RELEASED

The first time I heard Latifa's new album was on 28th of December 2006, the exact day it was released. I hated it instantly, I always hate every album I listen to for the first time no matter who was the singer LOL
I thought the song's arrangement was the same, nothing new just like all of Fairouz's (If you never heard of Fairouz, she is one of the Arab world legends of all time) songs...When I kept listening to it the next few days I TOTALLY LOVED IT!
However I loved some songs the first time I heard them such as the very romantic song "Hayati" (translation: My life) CLICK HERE to DOWNLOAD the MP3, and the Arab pop song "Shofto Be Aini" (translation: I saw him with my own eyes) CLICK HERE to DOWNLOAD the MP3.

The album contained two twin songs Track# 1 which is "Ma'lomat Mish Akeeda" (translation: Indefinite information) and the last track in the album Track# 11 "Ma'lomat Akeeda" (translation: Definite information), in the first song she was talking about the way when a couple break up but she is not sure if that's it, she had a conflict with her self she loves him in parts of the songs and don't want him back in other parts, in track# 11 she is definite that they don't belong to each others anymore. She doesn't want him to be a part of her life and that's clear in the last part of the song when she says (as translated by me):

I resisted everybody to settle down with the one who I love...
You told me that I am not like the other girls; That i am someone different...
You made me feel that I am the only one you've ever loved in the whole world...
Why don't you tell me that anymore?
The greatest words you used to tell me?
I wish I had your real feelings not only your poems...
I can't forget those great days...Although you want me to forget it all!
Dear God help me to walk away of his love...He turned my life into air! (air is a figure speech for something cheap where you can find everywhere, it also means that he spread her love away just like air molecules that's one great advantage of Arab poetry, A word could mean many things)!
Dear God help me, his love doesn't make me happy anymore...Please don't let us return to each others again

I will add full translations in my music blog + some MP3s of the album soon.

Most of the songs in the album depends on Latifa's vocals (Tarab), in the main song of the album "Ma'alomat Akeeda" (Definite information) she almost sings without any music!
Most of the song's album are classics, very different of what's going on these days in the Arab world where most of the singers perform contemporary Arab Pop Music, Latifa didn't perform similar style since 1980s and early 1990s. But Latifa decided to released 2 or 3 contemporary songs, I think "Shofto Be Aini" (translation: I saw him with my own eyes) is the going to be a hit song when the music video released in the coming two weeks.

What makes this album different of all Latifa's albums and most of the albums (by other) these days?
I never thought that I would love that album the way I do, It's true I do love Latifa but I never liked Ziad the writer, composer and arranger of most of the album's songs.
It's kinda funny how some people consider him a great musician, an Arab icon while others hates him.

He has a weird music style, more into Classics/Jazz/Blues and that's the weird thing, he writes poems to be sung but they can't be considered as Arab poems simply because he doesn't follow the Arab poetry rules.

Most of his music work was performed by his mother Fairouz, I don't like her though but I like few of her songs.

Have a great weekend all ;)

During your absence

This is kinda old song of Latifa, released in the year 1995...At the time It was one of my favorite songs in her 1995, it's melancholic song with slow Sharqi (Oriental) rhythm.

During your absence...
Every single day seems endless...
I feel that the time is barely moving...
The atmosphere around me is cold and a fire is burning my heart inside out!
During your absence, I am bored of my self!
I can't indoor it nor tolerate it anymore!

During your absence...
All people looks weird to me...
Nobody can understand me even my close friends
I've never imagined my self being in that situation until now when I had to deal with it for real!
During your absence, I am bored of my self!
I can't indoor it nor tolerate it anymore!

I am barely a life!
I feel like a featherless bird!
My longing to you is driving me crazy and I can do nothing to stop it!
I've never imagined my self being in that situation until now when I had to deal with it for real!
During your absence, I am bored of my self!
I can't indoor it nor tolerate it anymore!

Latifa & I

Everybody see a photo of me and Latifa asks me about it; How or What's between me and Latifa, I will take you back to 1999 when it all begun and I will try to keep this post updated.Note. If you don't know who is Latifa, then check out her biography at wikipedia.orgAs I said in one of my posts, I had chickenpox at age 17...So I had to stay home and that's when I thought to create my first site on 8th of September 1999.
I was thinking what should it be about, at the time Latifa's album (Wadeh - Inchallah) and her song "Kerehtak (I hated you) was a great hit; I was listening to the whole album all the time non stop. I always loved Latifa since i heard her song "Ew'ah Tegheer" , "Ashan Bahibbak" in the late 1980s and later "Eddeni Forsah Thanya", "Al Donya Betedh'hak Leya" (The world smiles at me) and "Beyihsibooni" (They thought).

This is the 1st site of Latifa online, It's one of the 1st Arabic languages websites, at the time there wasn't a unicode for Arabic language so if you can read Arabic on internet explorer you can't read it on netscape, so I had to write the Arabic text on a jpg to make sure everybody can read it!

I knew nothing about web design nor graphics design, I learned everything through searching.
The 1st graphic I ever created was the moon's animation with Latifa's picture in the middle of it, Later it's became the land mark of the site and it's was never changed until the day my site was shut down by yahoo! Geocities.

I used to change the site's index whenever a new music video release or new photo session of Latifa is out...Here are some snaps of the old indexes:

Note. The one on the bottom/left was the last index before going offline.I started promoting the site through search engines and exchanging banners with other sites and later i had many hits and visitors who started to request more content and that how this site became the largest site about Latifa online until then!

The site contained many sections such as:

Electronic magazine (latest news about Latifa)

Video section

Audio Section

Lyrics section (plus English translations)
Wallpaper section, Concerts section, Icons Section, Internet Explorer skins and many more!

My site and the Media:

In the years 2000 there was live interview with Latifa on Nile Variety channel and they show my site on T.V. few days later they broadcasted the inteview again on NILE TV and that's when I came back from (summer school) Final exam of Math or Physics I can't recall it :D
Since then I had more visitors then ever; the TV show didn't publish the address!

The site was the first site dedicated to Latifa on the internet, even Latifa her self admit it.
In the photo below "Khaled Abol Naja" (Arabic script: خالد أبو النجا) browsing my site on TV.

Few weeks later, I had a phone call and guess who was it?
LOL
Yeah it was her, Latifa :D
She called me at home and my mother answered her, when I talked to her I was shocked and speechless...She thanked me for the site, talked with me more...Asked about some more informations about me; gave me her number, email and her sister's (Mounira) email who I talked to later.
That was the first interaction (I knew about) between my site and the Media.

My site was published in Internet Guide Magazine (Arabic script: مجلة دليل الانترنت) on 14th of May 2001

"Laha" magazine (Arabics script: مجلة لها) issue 51 / 12th of September 2001

Kuwaiti newspaper "Al Ra'i Al Aam" (Arabic script: الرأي العام) issue 12687 / 16th of March 2002 (Note. That guy with Latifa is not me)

"Al Osrah Al Asreyah" (Arabic script: الاسرة العصرية) magazine issue 1138 / 4-11 February 2003
Plus other magazines such as "Kalam Al Nas" (Arabic script: كلام الناس)

On many TV channels such as LBC (On TV show Carla La La), Future TV (On the show Rola AlHawa), Abu Dhabi TV, New TV and others.
In the T.V. show "Sa'ah Beqorb Al Habeeb" hosted by Tony Khaleefah on LBC channel which was broadcasted on 2nd of January 2003 Latifa sent me her regards and that was the first time she menstions my name on TV
Also in the show "Khaleek Bel Bait" which it's hosted by Zahi Wahbi on Future T.V. Latifa sent me her regards and that's was on 3rd of April 2003 (When Iraqi Ba'ath were shoting missiles on Kuwait during the American invasion of Iraq)
And on 31st of October 2003 and during the radio show "VIP" on Middile east "Al Sharq Al Awsat" radio station which broadcastting from Cairo - Egypt. Also on 1st of January 2004 during the radio show "Hamzat Wasl" on BBC radio station wich broadcasting from London, The inteview was recorded on 30th of December 2003 to be broadcasted on the first day of the year 2004.

She also mentioned my name in many TV and Radio shows including Marina FM and Kuwait TV.

I have many video files and audio files about my site, they might be added later.

Latifa's 1st fans club online was founded by me on 6th of April 2001, It's was a part of my site. It's includes many fans of Latifa around the globe, they are sharing everything about Latifa, Pictures, news, discussing everything related to Latifa and more. The fans club's name was changed to "Latifa Fans Family" and later it's became a part of Latifa's official website and then it was moved to facebook.

On Sunday 29th of June 2003 for the 1st time the site's visitors counter hit 200000 visitors since the site became online! On 14th of February 2004 my site was merged with Latifa's official site; and I became a webmaster of her site, my site was online until Yahoo! Geocities deleted it on January 2006.

Latifa's official site domain name is written on her music videos credits (aka outro) :Pp~

In the Mid 2000s, I registered the user name Latifa on YouTube for Latifa's official channel YouTube.com/Latifa
But the channel wasn't active untl few years later because YouTube wasn't as good as it is at the moment...Then I added most of the content you can find there at the moment.

I finally got to meet Latifa in real life on my trip to Tunisia 2008 where I attended few concerts and taken plenty of amazing photos of her on stage.

Notice the flying kiss to me in the end of the video *blush*
And later in that visit, I was a guest on a Tunisian radio station with her (photo can be seen below)
We also met in Kuwait on June 2009 when she came specifically to record a song and I was there during the 5 days trip, below a photo slide show of that day (by me of course).

She mentioned my name on Kuwait TV and Marina FM

Before and after having my brain surgery she called me and told me some positive things such as "only geniuses suffer from this kind of diseases" trying to lift my spirit, she made me laugh although I wasn't really in a fun place to be, and during the surgery she talked to my father and he told her: "Bashar loves you so much, why don't you marry him?" LOLI also found a very touching article on her official website written about me with many sweet comments of people from all over the world.

And again we met in January 2010

And April 2010, when she came back to Kuwait.

In March 2010 I was a guest on a TV show starred by Latifa on MBC channel, It was one of the scariest experiences in my life

In 2011, I covered the event of launching the song Bokra / Tomorrow in Dubai with Latifa

When my father passed away in 2016 she was more supportive than most of my blood relatives

In 2017, she asked me to create lyric videos for the songs of her at the time upcoming album "Fresh" because she saw my graphics motion when I made one for the song "Ana Min Nah Winta Min Nah" few months earlier.

I started with the song "Fresh" and it got more than 1.8 million views in two weeks (you can see my logo and credits in the end).

The upcoming songs will be credited to my e-store (Animated by), which I made to promote Arabic as a language trying to end linking it to terrorism and fighting stereotyping Arabs and Muslims.

Friendship never last forever, IT'S TRUE!

I just don't know what went wrong, it's might be me or he just found a "better" friends group?
We've been best friends for more than 14 years but not anymore, he even changed his number so I don't call him (I wouldn't call him anyway even If I had his number but he is thinking that he is the Queen Elizabeth II and I would be running after him)!

I know I DID NOTHING WRONG but I have no idea what's wrong with him, I wanted to know what went wrong exactly but not anymore since he did forget all those years of our friendship.

I used to think about him for awhile but now I belly dance on Latifa's song "Khalleek Ba'eed" (Translation: Keep Away).

If you think walking a way will make you feel better, OK then you can keep away..
If that would make you more comfortable, I will be happy for you..
But don't return few days later asking for my forgiveness, and to reconciled again!

It's typical of you to forget all about our great days together whenever we have a little problem, I swear if I walked away you will feel lonely even If you had a thousand friends around you
My dear why you are treating me this way?

Don't be patient, return and ask for my forgiveness, and to reconciled again!

P.S. I don't really love Queen Elizabeth II; I am just trying to make a point, I hope she won't sue me for using her name LOL

Don't go away..

Latifa won the best middle eastern singer in the World Music Awards 2004 for that album. It's was a smash hit in the Arab world.
This song is a great example of Arab Pop Music, you can listen to Arab instruments such as Tabla along with Techno beats, she perform a short part with Arab rhythms in the song.

The song was performed in three different languages!

The first time in the year 2001 by the Greek singer "Despina Vandi", the song's name is "Ah Kardoula Mou".
In the year 2003 the song's music was recomposed and rearranged (legally) and released in Arabic language by "Latifa", the song's name is "Ma Etrohsh Ba'ed" (Don't go away).
"Havas" is the name of the Persian version, released in 2005...It's a remix of the Arabic version performed by the Persian singer "Shohreh Solati"; that one wasn't legal.

Despite it's legal or not, I think it's a great way that people around the world can share the exact passion of Music, I know it's took two years for each version to reach others and I really wish if there is a faster way so everybody can listen to the latest songs in all over the world in the exact released date.

Don't go away..

The photo above is my graphics work of Latifa performing the song in the World Music Awards 2004 also you might notice her photo with Celine Dion.
Latifa's speech was censored by the USA media when she said "My happiness remains incomplete until Iraq & Palestine are freed"!

Here is the song's video clip...VIVA YOUTUBE LOL

My Love, Don't go away

My love, I need you beside me
My love, come closer to me...Come closer

For many starry nights I’ve been living imagining you in my fantasies...
Before seeing you my precious I kept thinking of you every awaking moment

My love, while you are beside me all my life is full of love; your love is the most valuable to me.
With every night your words were on my mind, you are the life in my eyes and the world to my heart.

Dear starry nights he finally told me that I am the love of his life
SIGH

The years of my life passed before knowing you and no one has replaced you ever
All I need is your heart to be with me even for one second
It's enough for me to have you as my forever love in my heart
Love… Always stay with me and don’t go away

The song

"AL GHENYWA" is a great song by Latifa, released in the year 1997 as a part two of her 1986 hit song "Akthar Min Roohi" (More than my soul).
Both songs are a mix of Arab instruments and Spanish Tango.

Album: Al Ghenwa (1997)
Song Genre: Tango
Singer: Latifa
Composer: Ammar Al Sherai'ei
Lyrics by: Abdulwahab Mohammed

The song that we use to hear when we’re together is still on my mind constantly.
It's always moves and touches me every time I hear it.
I wonder if it’s the same for you when you hear it, does it still effect u the same way?
Does it make u cry about the way we ended up? Or you will not even care?
Did you forgot all about it; did you forget all about me too?
Did you completely forget me and our song?
The song that said “ I love you more than myself, honestly I love you even more”.

Years past and life drifted us apart; look who you’re with now, and who I’m with.
But I’m still thinking of our days together, and the same song still comes on my mind constantly.
I wonder if it’s the same for you when you hear it, does it still effect u the same way?
Does it make u cry about the way we ended up? Or you will not even care?
Did you forgot all about it; did you forget all about me too?
Did you completely forget me and our song?
The song that said “ I love you more than myself, honestly I love you even more”

Are you crying about the way we ended up?
“ I love you more than myself, honestly I love you even more”

Are you crying about the way we ended up?
“ I love you more than myself, honestly I love you even more”

Are you crying about the way we ended up?
“ I love you more than myself, honestly I love you even more”

Are you crying about the way we ended up?
